Highlights of Replix Fax Messaging architecture include:
Internet Fax System:Replix system components are built on open Internet standards embracing HTTP, SMTP and other IP-based protocols and work seamlessly over any IP networks whether it is LAN, WAN, corporate intranet or the public Internet.
Modular:The multi-tier, distributed architecture consists of Server, Client and Intelligent Modem Gateway (IMG) software components that work seamlessly either in a stand-alone or in a distributed system configuration over any IP-based network.
Scalable:The open, modular architecture permits incremental addition of users, modem lines and server capacity to support virtually unlimited number of users and modem lines.
Reliable:Dynamic reconfiguration capability and "on-the-fly" detection of faulty modem lines allow Replix fax servers to provide unmatched high system availability and flexibility. You may add or remove system components without disrupting your fax messaging operation across the network. Replix servers can be also configured for 7x24 fault tolerance on selected server platforms.
Manageable:Web-based, central administration and configuration capability allows you to centrally monitor, configure, and control the Replix fax servers and Intelligent Modem Gateways from anywhere to conveniently manage multi-site deployment.
Load Balancing:Fax traffic is directed to first available modem lines on the network, which are selected dynamically to provide load balancing and resource sharing.
High Performance:Communication between IMG and Replix fax server is accomplished using an efficient, real-time streaming TCP/IP protocol for high performance to support efficient transmission of faxes, and real-time status monitoring and reporting.
Real-time Confirmation and Tracking:Replix server tracks real-time fax transmission status and reports back delivery confirmation in a reliable and efficient manner. The user can get instant notification and monitor delivery progress including notification of new fax arrival via mobile devices.
Intelligent Least Cost Routing:Replix features the ability to least cost route fax traffic over the Internet or wide-area TCP/IP networks to significantly reduce fax phone charges. The Replix server can select a remote modem gateway (IMG) based on the global phone number dialing scheme, or alternatively use its own rate table, and deliver the fax to the final destination as a local call.
Complete API and Toolkits:Replix provide a comprehensive set of application programming interfaces (APIs) for Windows and Java applications, and Unix Command Line API. Pre- and post-filters provides an easy way to plug in customer supplied scripts or programs for pre- and post-fax job processing such as fax archiving.
Firewall Support:Replix fax client communicates with the Replix fax server using the HTTP protocol and can communicate through firewalls.
Full PSTN Connectivity:Besides analog telephone lines, Replix IMG supports all digital lines, T1, E1 and ISDN for global enterprise with worldwide offices locations.
